Description The Blue Balloon is an art print I created using an impasto oil technique. This technique focuses on the bright colors and uses bold brush strokes for emphasis. Hot air balloons stand out prominent with their colors against the sky. The bold reds, blues, oranges, greens and yellows take center stage. The setting is a group of hot air balloons getting ready for their sunset ascent. The location is in San Diego County near the coast of the Pacific Ocean. San Diego is famous for its sunset rides. As the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean, the onshore flow of winds decrease allowing the balloons to drift inland and descend for a landing before it gets dark. The trip starts close to the coast and takes you inland about 15 miles.Follow my work:TheWallGallery: https://thewallgallery.comBlog: http://thewallgalleryblog.wordpress.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/KirtWallGalleryFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/TheWallGallery.KirtTisdaleCopyright 2014 Kirt Tisdale/TheWallGallery.com
Kirt Tisdale, Everett, Washington Member Since February 2013 Artist Statement I have been creating art since I can remember. I have been blessed with having my work featured in various venues. What drives me is the beauty in the world with which we live. I remember as a kid looking up at the clouds and watching them change shape...if they could only stay in one shape long enough for me to enjoy and appreciate them....but that's not how it works. What I can do though is take a moment and freeze it. The beauty around us needs to be savored, contemplated and appreciated. Good art invokes an emotional response either through the scene depicted or the colors used. I hope my work invokes the same in you.
