Soft Orchid Blooms is an art print I created using a soft watercolor technique. This print is of an orchid plant that blooms during the winter months only. The nights need to get cool enough to initiate the blooming cycle without freezing the plant. This particular stem of blooms is from a plant we had on our patio year round when we lived in the San Diego area. Starting in January you would begin seeing the stalks pop up from the base and the blooms would open and last into early spring.
