The Family in Green is an art print I created using a fauvist style of oil painting (Fauvism: a style of painting with vivid expressionistic and non-naturalistic use of color that flourished in Paris from 1905). The inspiration behind this piece are two abstract sculptures we have depicting a family unit. Using them as a basis for this abstract, I created this art print using bright pastel color hues. I positioned the Mom and Dad standing by each other to create a look of partnership. I like the way the bold brush strokes stand out and complete the look.
